Trade mark “Marked for Exam”?

The trademark logo or brand name standing within the Trade Mark registry will be shown as “Marked for Exam” once the trademark application gets appointed to Examiner for examination report.
Here, The Examiner scrutinizes the trademark application to see whether or not the trademark is accepted for publication within the Trade Marks Journal, before registration. The Examiner checks for the following:

• Whether the appliance has been filed within the prescribed manner
• Any restriction, condition or limitation is needed to be obligatory.
• Whether any same/similar trade mark in respect of same/similar goods/services is there on record
• whether the trademark applied for registration is accepted for registration under the Trade Marks Act 1999

Examiner can issue a consolidated ‘Examination Report’ mentioning the objections (if any); or settle for the appliance. within the gift circumstances within the Trade Mark written record, it takes around twelve to eighteen months for the examination report back to be issued.
A pc generated ‘Search Report’ will come up with the Examination Report, that lists out the conflicts involved.
An applicant or its licensed agent has to reply for the Examiner’s objection(s) within 1 month from the date of receipt of Examination Report. Therefore, we suggest looking whether the Examination Report is uploaded, so an appropriate response is promptly filed to the objections raised within the Examination Report if any.
