Britannia Industries filed a Trade Mark violence case against Future group for copying the packaging of several biscuit brands
Case has been filed in Delhi high court in the month of January, Britannia alleged Future Consumer for packaging some of its ‘Tasty Treat’ brand of biscuits is “deceptively similar” to Britannia’s biscuit packs, but both companies are now in out-of-court settlement talks, and that Future Consumer has proposed to make some changes to its packs in Bengaluru to resolve the issue Britannia has also objected Biyani’s use of ‘Good Time’ on one of its product packs, as it sounds similar to Britannia’s ‘Good Day’ brand. Britannia objected for seven packagings of ‘Tasty Treat’ biscuits. Britannia also accused Future Consumer for copying the pack of ‘Good Day’ butter and cashew variants and ‘Bourbon’ and some other biscuit brands.
